The past 6 months have flown by! Here's a little recap.

July 15, 2011 - Trevor & I were sealed in the Draper Temple for Time and all eternity. Mollee was sealed to us also. It was a great day! Adam & Jacqueline with permission from the First Presidency, we able to witness Mollee's sealing. What a special day this was!

Our Forever Family!

In August we went on a fun Family vacation to Yellowstone and up into Montana. The picture above was taken at the opening of the Louis & Clark Caverns.

This year Jacqueline decided to be a cheerleader. She did a great job!

We were able to get a picture done with all three kids together. This is the first professional picture done.

Mollee had her first time at the beach in California. We rode the Ferris wheel on the Santa Monica Pier, and played in the water and sand. She thought the sand was very yummy!

Thanksgiving 2010 - California

This year we went to California for Thanks giving. We had a lot of fun! One day we went down to Laguna Beach to play in the water. It was pretty cold!

We stayed until sunset.

We celebrated Thanksgiving in Upland, CA at Linda's sister Marilyn's house. It was very nice.

KISS "Hottest Show on Earth" tour 09/10

Last Wednesday, Trevor & I went to the"Hottest Show on Earth" KISS concert at Rio Tinto. We had a blast! . Our seats were great!. I really didn't know the music, but they put on a great show!

Crazy Moose

In August, Trevor, I and the kids went with David Eric, Amy, and their children to Wasatch National Forest. We were having a little picnic and riding the ATV when 3 moose came into the area. There was a bull and 2 cows.

It was pretty exciting to see the moose and I was excited to use my new lens to take some close up pictures. Pretty soon the excitement wore off and we went back to what we were doing when I realized I had lost my sunglasses. I decided to walk back to where I was taking pictures. As I looked at the ground, I heard a man yelling run! I looked up and one of the cow moose were coming cross the pond toward me. I ran back to the road and decided I just wasn't going to find my glasses. I talked to the man for a few minutes and started to walk down the road to where Trevor, Amy and the kids were. David had taken Jacqueline to ride the ATV.

As I started to walk, I hear the man yell at me " RUN! RUN FAST! SHE'S COMING AFTER YOU!" At this point I look over my shoulder to see the female moose running full speed at me. I ran as fast as I could and yelled to Trevor and Amy "GET THE KIDS IN THE TRUCK!" I was panicked. I just knew the moose was going to trample me and then maybe one of the kids. As I made it to the truck, the moose was less then a car length behind me. Trev, and Amy had managed to got all the kids safe . I threw myself in the truck and that stupid moose stopped in front of us and just stared at me. Thank heavens for the row of trees the block the moose from the road, if they were not there she would have got me. I think she just wanted to scare me and she for sure did that! Then she went into the area where we has set up our picnic and then wandered into the trees. I was shaking. I have had several nightmares over this experience. Needless to say I am not a fan of Moose anymore.

Adam's Birthday

Today was Adam's "6th" birthday. He is growing up to quick. This is the birthday cake I make for him. Nothing fancy, but kind of fun!
We had him go on a little scavenger hunt to find his birthday present.
He was pretty surprised!
Yes, we got him a motorcycle - a for real one, just like his Dad's as Adam said.

Easter Saturday

The Arehart's have a tradition of going out to the Sand Dunes on the Saturday before Easter for a little picnic. It always so much fun!! This year, I went to Moab by myself. Trevor stayed home, and we didn't have the kids.

Steve Young Ski Classic 2010

Yesterday, Trevor and I had the opportunity to attend the Steve Young Ski Classic, with our good friend Nate Bond. What a awesome experience this is!

For those of you who don't know about Nate. He was in a car accident when he was 17. He had just graduated from high school, and went on their Senior trip to Jackson Hole. On the way home, the driver of the car he was in fell asleep, and wrecked. Nate was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the car. He had a sever head injury and his family wasn't sure he was going to make it.

Nate was in a coma for 6 months, and pulled though. He has had to learn everything over again, walking, talking, everything. He has short term memory loss, and has a hard time moving one side of his body. He lives in a assisted living center in downtown Salt Lake. He says he lives with all the old people.

He is such a awesome person . So positive, and so out-going. We really enjoy all the time we get to spend with him. Trevor got Nate involved with Wasatch Adaptive Sports last year. He was so excited for this ski season.

We went for a bike ride up Snow canyon. The weather was wonderful! It was only $3.00 to get in, and the bike trail is really nice. Adam was super excited! He loves to ride his bike.

We went to St George over the weekend. Trevor had the Mid-Year Bar Law Conference. The weather was beautiful!

We went to Moab over President's Day weekend. It always fun to go to Moab. We had never taken the kids to Canyonlands so that's were we decided to go. It was a nice day. A little on the cold side, but we had a good time.

A New Princess in the Family

As of January 24, 2010 at 2:12 pm, we have a new Princess in the family. My little sister Monica had a beautiful baby girl. They named her Isabelle (Izzi) Lenore Oldroyd. She was 7lbs 7oz 20inches. She is so precious.

Addi is the new "Big Sister" and is very excited about that!

When I was holding Izzi, Addi came over and gently rub her head and said
" Hi Izzi, it's me. I love you so much!" It was so cute!

Reflections Contest Winner

Jacqueline won the Reflections Contest at her school. She entered in Visual Arts. There were only 5 students chosen out of 93. She did a great job. We went to her assembly today. She didn't know she had won. She was so excited!

Jacueline got a neat metal. To celebrate Grandma Linda took us to lunch at the Olive Garden and gave Jacqueline a nice Art Paper book. Trevor and I got her this fun paper airplane book.

What a wonderful surprised I got this morning at work. The Flower delivery man walked in with a beautiful bouquet of roses. I said to my friend " Oh Carie, Look someone sent you roses." Boy, was I surprised that they were for me,from my Wonderful, Sweet Husband. The note said "Just Because" on the front.

Tonight we went to the airport with a couple from our ward here in Sandy, Merrill & Sharon Grix. They invited us to be there when their only child Tyler came home from his mission to Vermont. I had never met Tyler, but was excited to be there. Sharon has been so good to me. Tyler has written to Trevor during his mission.
(Unfortunately, the pictures are all a little blurry. Looks like it's time to get a new camera.)

Merrill got to excited and couldn't wait at the bottom of the escalator!

We went to dinner at Golden Corral, then went to our Stake center and met with the President Moss ( the Stake President) where he was release. What a wonderful night. How lucky we were to share in this sweet experience with the Grix family!

Fall Break in Moab

We went to Moab over Jacqueline's fall break. It's always so much fun. One night we played the game"Uno" We decided to let Addi play and she was so funny. She won twice! All on her own. She's a little card shark!

Nick and Monica moved back to Moab for the off season. Nick is actually in Arizona till mid November doing fall ball. It was really nice to spend some time with my sis! She is expecting their second little girl in February.

One day we went for a ride with the ATVs to the moutain. It was so nice. The leaves are mostly yellow, orange and brown.
The kids had a blast!

We rode up through Pack Creek. Trevor had never been up this way.

This is the highest peak on the LaSal Mountains. Trevor thinks we need to come back and have a little hike up it. I'm not to sure about that.

We rode over to Medicine lake. It's pretty small right now and not as pretty as in the spring/summer time.

Adam's Last Fall Soccer Game

Tonight was Adam's last soccer game this fall. We were all able to go up and watch him. This weekend was Jacqueline's fall break so she was able to make it to one of his games. He was excited to see us. He just keeps getting better and better. Go Job Adam!

Tonight, we went to the Tabernacle to watch Dustee perform in the All State Choir. She did a great job! My sweet husband was a good sport to come with me to support her. Thanks Sweetie!

General Relief Society Meeting

Tonight I had the opportunity of going to the General Relief Society Meeting at the Conference Center. It is always so neat to be in the same room as the Prophet of the Church.

Sister Beck made the announcement the the Midweek Home, Family and Personal Enrichment night will now be called a Relief Society Meeting. Very simple!

All the talks were on the importance of the Relief Society Orgnaization. The Moto of the Relief Society is:Charity Never Faileth” which stems from the first Relief Society meeting. The sisters were asked by the Prophet Joseph Smith to assist the brethren “in looking to the wants of the poor—searching after objects of charity, and in administering to their wants.” The sisters took this call to heart and became a society devoted to seeking out the poor and needy.

President Eying spoke on being your own legacy. Teaching your daughters by example to be a active participant in the Relief Society. I have one of the best examples possible in my Grandma. She has truly lived a life of Charity. I am very grateful for her legacy!

My sweet friend Lori invited me to go with her and her two daughters, Kelly& Carly. We went to dinner afterwords at the Olive Garden. It was such a nice evening out.

This past Sunday, we drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon to see the leaves. They were just starting to change. Fall is definitely in the air! I love Fall!

MidValley 5th Ward Fall Carnival

Tonight was our ward's fall carnival. It was really fun. We had a wonderful BBQ and they had lots of fun activities. They had big blow up bounce houses and optical courses. The kids had a blast!

Adam's broken arm didn't keep him back from doing anything. I actually had to get after him a little for being to wild!

They also has a pie eating contest. To my surprise, Jacqueline was the first one to volunteer. She did great. Adam didn't want to because he said he didn't know how to eat pie that way.

Below is a video of the contest. Watch closely the little boy on the far right. I had a hard time with the camera, but if you watch close it's pretty funny. The bishop's daughter helps him get into it.

Labor Day Weekend in Moab Part 5 "ATV Ride"

My parents and Grandma came up on Sunday. They stayed the night and then Monday morning we all got up and went for a ATV ride. We went into lower Willow basin, up a pretty rough trail. Trevor was loving it! Grandma was sure she was going to be stiff the next day!

We had so much fun! Can't wait to do it again!

Labor Day Weekend in Moab Part 2 "Red Cliffs Lodge"

****Dinner at Red Cliffs Lodge****

We drove down from the mountain which only took about 15 minutes. From town it's only about 20 minutes. It's a little spendy, but worth it!

We started outside on the deck. It was the Moab Music Festival so we were enjoying the music outdoors. It was a beautiful night.

The deck is just feet away from the Colorado River. What a wonderful background to a wonderful dinner.

We ended up having to go inside due to a little rain storm. The food was really good, and then only a short drive back to the mountain.

Tonight, Trevor and I went to dinner at McGrath's Fish House. As we were eating dinner, he asked me why didn't get his birthday dessert for him at Texas Road House. I hadn't heard him say anything about it so I said we would just do a birthday desert tonight. I asked our server if they did anything for birthdays since it was my husband's birthday. Here's what they did..........

They came out with this big fish hat telling everyone that Trevor was the "Catch of the Day". It was hilarious! I died laughing. He was a good sport, plus he got a hot fudge sundae!

What's New?

A few Sundays ago Trevor and I drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon. We decided to go "explore". We hike up to this neat waterfall.
It was very pretty.

This was the sunset as we headed down the canyon.

Last Wednesday, August 19th was Jacqueline's first day of school. She is in 6th grade now and is going up fast!

We were able to stay in Provo on Wednesday, so Adam thought he's get a little fishing in at Grandma and Papa's

The Provo river just out side the gate of their back yard. It is very pretty.

Fall baseball is back in "Swing" Trevor is playing with the cubs. He love baseball!

Adam's first day of school was Monday, August 24th. Since we could be there in the morning, we took him to the Bee's game to celebrate his big 1st day!

They lost - But Adam got a big cotton candy all to himself so he thought is was a great game.

California trip for Herb's Memorial

We went this last weekend to California for Trevor's Grandpa's memorial service.

We've never stopped for a picture in Nevada so this time we did.

We went to Laguna Beach. We had a ton of fun!

Adam rode the body board, till he and I got taken out by a big wave!

I ended up with a nice goose egg!

Same day, Adam ended up with a nice bruise on his eye after a slip & fall at Chili's. (Dang Urinal)

Yesterday, Trevor and I went to Midway/Deer Creek area to ride the ATV. We went up into the Wasatch National Forest. We had a lot of fun. We rode around the Cascade Springs area. It was so pretty!

Grandpa Herb passes away

Trevor's Grandpa passed away Saturday. David and Linda wrote a very nice obituary. Linda is hanging in there. She has been so good to take care of her Dad. She had made so many trips to Vegas to take care thing to numerous to name and been a great support for him. She is such a wonderful person. I couldn't ask for a better Mother-in-Law! Love you Linda!

Herbert James Warne passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 4:30 pm PDT in Las Vegas, Nevada as a result of causes incident to age. He was a resident of Henderson, Nevada. He was 88 years of age.

Herbert was born the son of Earl and Julia Warne on October 2, 1920 in Erie, Pennsylvania. Music was an important part of his life from his youngest years, when he learned to play the trumpet. His trumpet playing would remain with him throughout his lifetime – playing in bands in high school, in the Army and later, in his own band.

Herb served his country faithfully during the Second World War in the European theatre in the 10th Armored Division of General George Patton's 3rd Army, and was among those called "America's Greatest Generation."

After the war, Herb moved to southern California, where he attended Glendale Community College and then UCLA, graduating with a degree in Accounting. This gave impetus to his life's vocation as a purchasing agent. A large part of his career was spent at Max Factor Corporation.

While at college, Herb formed his own band, which played at clubs and functions through the Los Angeles area. “Herb Warne and his Orchestra” were a big hit. One night, their pianist was absent and they had to get a last minute replacement. Rose Christensen was available and she stepped in like a pro. Herb was so impressed with this striking pianist, he began to date her and it led to their eventual marriage. Rose and Herb were married in August of 1948 and raised three daughters during their 25 year marriage: Marilyn Mills, Linda Marie Bradford and Janice Loraine Warne, all of whom survive Herb.

In addition to his music, Herb loved boating and fishing, instilled in him from his childhood growing up on Lake Erie. He never missed an opportunity to be out on the ocean or on a lake, engaging in his favorite pastime, fishing.

Herb moved to the Las Vegas area in 1989 with Margaret Moser who was his trusted friend and companion for 27 years.

Herb leaves his three daughters, their husbands, Dean, David and Joe, 7 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

May He Rest in Peace.

Herb had asked to be cremated so we are planning a memorial service in August.

Montana Vacation

The month of July has been busy. We went to Montana over the 4th of July weekend and had a little family vacation. David, (Trevor's Dad) grew up in Red Lodge Montana. It was his 40th High School Reunion, so he invited us all to come along with him. Linda ( Trev's Mom) was not feeling well so she was unable to come and David Eric's family were not able to come either. It was David, Angela's Family, Aimee's Family, and our little family. It was a lot of fun!

Welcome to Yellowstone. At this stop we also saw a Grizzly bear. The kids were very excited. Okay, the big kids were too!

We went out to this cool ranch on Sunday. It was over 10,000 acres. It was beautiful!

Tonight, Trevor and I had the opportunity to attend the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year awards.

It's nice to be able to get dress up every once in awhile.

Dinner was wonderful! Beef tenderloin and Salmon, Yummy!

Trevor's Dad David, is the CEO for a up and coming company called "Fusion-io. The founders of the company, David Flynn and Rick White were nominated for the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year. And they WON! It was a exciting evening.

Today, Adam and I went with Grandma Linda to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Adam had a blast! He loves spending time with Grandma.

Chocolate, Trains, Cemetary and our day!

I know the title of this post sounds like a weird combination, but that's what our day consisted of. We went with our friends, April, Luke and Megan.

First stop was Mrs. Cavanaugh's chocolate factory tour . It was fun, but the Sweet's Candy factory tour was better.

We then stopped and had lunch at The Front End Grill. The menu items are all named after car parts. Plus, we got to watch the trains go by as you ate. The kids thought that was way cool.

After lunch, April told me about her favorite memory with her Grandparents was smashing pennies on the railroad tracks. So we decided to do this with the kids. We made sure they understood that only the grown ups could go out on the tracks.

The engineers waved and one even got out and came across the street to talk to them and then blew the horn for them.

We then drove up to the Salt Lake City Cememtary to see if we could find some of the Prophets graves. All but 3 prohets are buried in this cemetary. Fortunatly, we were able to find a few.

President Hinkley is the only Prophet the kids knew so we were excited to find this one.

Today, was Trevor and my 1st Anniversery. He had made plans for his Mom to come and watch the kids while we went out. Unforutatly, April's vehicle broke down on our way back and so things got push back a little. It all worked out though. April's husband Keith came to her rescue. Trevor and his Linda drove down and picked me up. Linda took the kids, and Trevor and I went to dinner. He took me to Benihana's. It was very nice. Thank you Sweetheart. I love you!

Mini Family Vacation

Our good friends Brenda and Ken Armstrong were celebrating their marriage this past weekend in Durango Colorado, so we decided to take this opportunity to go and see them and have a little family vacation. We drove to Moab on Thursday night and stayed with my folks. Then headed for Colorado on Friday.

Of course, we had to stop by the Hole N' the Rock on the way.

There are a lot of eccentric items there. There were several signs that said "Big Foot Sighting ->" This is what we discovered after following the signs.

They had lots of old Motel signs.

Lots of sculptures.

They have a petting zoo and lots of other fun things. Something you just have to see for yourself.

We finally made it to Colorado! This was a first for both Adam & Jacqueline. Friday night we camped in a place called "Junction Creek". It was a pretty area.

Saturday morning we got up and went for a hike/walk overlooking the Amimas River and Valley below.
The views were beautiful.

There were lots of pretty flowers.

Saturday night was Brenda and Ken's party. Here they are cutting their cake. They were actually married in January and waited for the summer to have their celebration!

Sunday, after going to church we headed back to Moab. We stopped in Monticello for a little bit to visit the grounds of the Temple. It is so pretty. I love this temple. This will always be one of my most favorite temples. The lilac were in bloom and the smell was so wonderful. Just heavenly!

When we got back to Moab, we went to Grandma Nornie's for Sunday dinner.

These were the socks Grandma had on today. She is so funny!

Aunt Linda(Grandma's Little Sister from Boise) was here visiting. It was really good to see her.

And so was Monica and Addi! Yeah! Jacqueline asked Addi who her Favorite Princess ever was and she said " Princess Mindee". She is so cute. I just love and miss her tons!

Monday, We went out to Onion Creek and went riding. It was a lot of fun. The first time Adam got wet he started to cry but we were all laughing so hard he realized it wasn't so bad and laughed too.

Sweet Candy Company

Today, we went to the Sweets Candy Factory. Adam and I went last summer but this was Jacqueline's first time.

They give you these cute little "Candy Maker" hats to wear. And then let you sample the candy throughout the Factory. At the end they give you, your own little packet of taffy. It's a fun trip. If your in the area its a great place to visit.

Today, the kids and I went to the Library. Jacqueline has started reading the Harry Potter Series. She was just about to finish book one so we went to get her the next couple of books.

Adam is just starting to read. We check out 8 different books for him. He is doing really good sounding out words. He is starting to take turns reading from the scriptures at night! He thinks that is really cool!

Both of them enjoy reading, which is wonderful! Today was the summer kick-off at the Library so they had some fun things out.

Then off to the Bee's baseball game. It started to rain in the 2nd inning. That's why Jacqueline's face doesn't look like she is having a lot of fun. The wind was blowing to top it off too!

It was Military night. Trevor caught this Air Force Hat I have on. We only lasted till the bottom of the 6th inning before we were just to wet. We tried hard not to be fair weather fans, but we had to cut out early!

Donut Falls

This afternoon we hiked to Donut Falls up Big Cottonwood Canyon. It was a little chilly and very muddy! Adam slipped on the way back and was covered in mud. Too bad I didn't take a picture.

Riverside & the Mayan

Today, Adam and I went swimming at Riverside Country Club. We had a lot of fun. Adam is going to have swimming lesson this summer which will help him be more confident. He loves the water.

Hiking in Millcreek

Trevor & I went for a hike up Millcreek Canyon on Saturday. It was such a nice day. The weather was perfect. It was even nicer that the trail we picked was in the shade most of the time. I'm not sure I would have made it as far if it hadn't been. It was pretty much up hill the whole way up.

have been slacking - This past week has been eventful!
We went to Moab for Easter Weekend.
On Friday, we went with our friends April & Keith on Porcupine Rim. We liked hanging out so much we stayed out all night ( Right Keith) HAHA!

The weather was nice off and on. We had a fun time. The video below is of out picnic on Saturday afternoon. My Mom is so smart and brought a little tent I had bought a few years back for the kids! Way to go MOM!

Today, seven years ago my sweet Grandpa passed away. For some reason, it has effected me more this year then others. In a history, my Grandma made of her life. She gave a quote by President Gordon B Hinkley which she felt described Grandpa:

"I am convinced that only those that have walked thru life with love, respect,and appreciation for their companion and children will receive from our eternal judge the words well done thou good and faithful servant......enter into the joy of the Lord."

I love and miss you Papa!

Steve Young Ski Classic 2009

This past Saturday we took the kids to the Steve Young Ski Classic at Snowbird. Trevor got our friend Nate Bond involved just a couple of weeks ago. He has been taking him up on the past few Saturday mornings to ski with Wasatch Adaptive sports. They are a awesome organization. Trevor's family is good friends with Steve and Barb Young. Steve is one of the sponsors for this event. There were several other celebrities there also. It was fun to participate. Below is the news clip on Channel 13. I am proud to announce that I graduated today from my pretty purple cast into a designer gray brace. I get to wear this for another 3 weeks! No surgery though! Everything is healing great. It's still really tender. But the doctor said that was to be expected.

Ok - Here it is....... my big OPPS!

I was taking pictures and Adam ran into me and I lost my balance. To avoid landing on him,and breaking the camera, I fell backwards - Yep, breaking my arm! I broke the distal radius. It's hard to see in this picture. I get to see the orthopedic surgeon on Monday. I blaming the arm for it taking me a few days to post this. LOL!
